The sale price of an art piece is that which has been registered at the time of entry. A commission of 30% of the registered sale price will be paid to the Gallery for any sale or referrals as a direct result of exhibiting in the Gallery.
Payments made for La Grange Art League referred work should be made directly to the League, (a check for the full amount). The League commission will be taken from this and the balance will be paid to the artist.
Sales from the League contract locations (banks, restaurants, offices) do not require a commission payment to LGAL. However, sales from venues in which we do not have a written contract (libraries, community events) do require such commission payments to the League.
The La Grange Art League will keep insurance on equipment, furniture, plate glass and personal liability only. Each artist will sign a release form at the time of entry stating that the La Grange Art League is not liable for damage or loss of artwork during its stay on the League premises.
An Artist Registry Book of current and available work by juried artist members who regularly exhibit in the Gallery will be on display at the Art League for use by prospective customers. Members are eligible to receive two pages (four usable sides) on which they can mount a resume, biography and available artwork.
Business cards may be put in the artist’s file folder and may also be affixed to the backside of the artwork.
Advertising pamphlets or signs with contact information is NOT to be displayed alongside or with any artwork.
