We are the La Grange Art League - a non-profit community art center in
La Grange, IL. For more than 85 years we have been the place where
thousands of artists, students, and members of our community have
gathered to experience art.
We fulfill our mission – to promote the arts and the artists in our community – by offering several important services:
- We offer art classes to help inspire and develop the artistic talent of our members
- We produce art shows and exhibits to build the appreciation of art in our community
- We offer scholarships to school-aged artists to encourage their artistic pursuits. These include scholarships for local children to take LGAL classes, two annual scholarships for Lyons Township High School seniors planning to study the visual arts, and a new scholarship for a graduating senior from Brookfield Riverside High.
We
receive no government or private foundation money to fuel our mission.
We rely solely on income from our classes, art sales, membership dues,
rental income and donations to keep things going.
